This laser treatment removes pesky veins that often appear on the nose, cheeks, chin, thighs, legs. The laser energy induces a photothermal reaction which instantaneously creates a gas bubble. As the gas bubble dissipates, it induces a vacuum-like state in the blood vessel. The vessel walls are flattened, constricted and thermally coagulated so that blood vessels on the surface of the skin begin to disappear.

Onychomycosis has fungal infection o the fingernail or toenails. The most common symptom is a thickening and opaque or yellow discolouration of the nail. As the nail progresses, the nail can break off. This laser treatment penetrates deep into the tissue to kill the fungus by heating without damaging healthy tissues nearby. The heat is transferred to the thick corneum and inner layers of the nails to effectively inactivate the fungi, which is highly susceptible to heat treatment. Not only do the thermal effects inhibit fungal growth in the nails, they also help the previously infected nails grow faster.

Warts occur when skin or mucous membranes come in contract with one of the many types of human papilloma virus, which proliferates in the epidermis. It is a raised papule with a roughened surface. Topical drugs are often used to treat warts, however efficacy is low and reoccurrence rates are high. Depending on the wart type, we will employ the appropriate wavelength to effectively treat the wart.
Because intense laser energy is used, you will experience discomfort lasting a couple minutes. Icing will be applied to reduce discomfort.
